Fairhaven, MA – June 3, 2025 – Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts (JA), in partnership with First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union, successfully hosted JA Day at LeRoy L. Wood Elementary School, marking a powerful conclusion to our school-year programming with a day full of learning, inspiration, and impact.
This was the first time JA Day was held at LeRoy L. Wood Elementary, and the response was nothing short of incredible. With support from our volunteers and school staff, the event brought real-world financial literacy education to over 300 students in grades 1 through 5.
Highlights from the Day

👧👦 We had the opportunity to serve over 300 students during this impactful event.

🏫 This program was conducted in partnership with a new school partner, and we are excited to continue building this relationship with plans to return next year.

📚 Both students and staff thoroughly enjoyed the experience, engaging with hands-on lessons in financial literacy that reinforced their year-long learning.
