PROGRAMS – GRADES 6-8

Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts provides several ways that you can get involved whether you’re someone looking to volunteer, part of a district or school looking for educational materials, or part of a business looking to help us expand the reach of our mission.

JA ECONOMICS FOR SUCCESS

Provides students with practical information about personal finance and emphasizes the importance of identifying education and career goals based on a student’s skills, interests, and values.

JA GLOBAL MARKETPLACE

Students examine the interconnection between producers and consumers in the global marketplace and the effect of free enterprise in an economic system.

JA IT’S MY BUSINESS

Introduces the concepts of design thinking as a problem-solving process and provides students an authentic entrepreneurial experience that builds toward a pitch competition.

JA JOB SHADOW (Available Spring of 2023)

Students acquire and apply the skills needed in demanding and everchanging workplaces. Includes site visit to local businesses.

JA IT’S MY FUTURE

Offers students practical information to help prepare them for the working world. Students develop the personal-branding and jobhunting skills needed to earn a job.

SPARK* PROGRAM (Available Summer of 2023)

Founded by former JA President Caroline Paradis and Louis Ricciardi CEO of Bristol Wealth Group, SPARK* is a two-year program for middle school girls focused on leadership development and entrepreneurship that includes an annual weeklong residential summer camp and ongoing educational events.
